fanuc series 16i 18i 21i control
FANUC Series 16, 18 and 21 control units
The earlier control generations that are still everywhere in service: Series 16, 18 and 21, and their i-generation successors 16i, 18i and 21i. Age makes their units scarcer, not less needed, and this page groups the line.
Series 16, 18 and 21 controls
The seller publishes this line in two waves: Series 16, 18 and 21 in Model A, B and C forms, and Series 160i, 180i, 210i with the 16i, 18i and 21i Model A and B. The two waves share a page because they share a buyer: the owner of a machine old enough that the control's own generation is the first question. Units are ordered by the A02B number on the fitted control, and the A02B page holds the cross-generation number table.
Stock for these generations is inherently uneven — it follows machines being retired — so an inquiry for a 16/18/21-line unit is worth sending even when nothing on the site names the number. The desk answers from the shelf as it stands, and the repair route matters more here than on any other line, because a repair keeps the exact fitted unit in service.

Boards and displays for older controls
On a machine of this age, the control unit is often the last thing to fail: the boards age, the CRT display fades, the I/O channels die one by one. The catalogue's satellites are shelved by family rather than by control generation, so a 16i machine's board inquiry goes to the PCB page with the generation named in the message. The named CRT unit, A02B-0120-C051, belongs to this era of machines and is a steady line for exactly that reason.
Keeping an older control running
The economics of an older control favour diagnosis over replacement: the test bench can identify the faulty board inside a control that fails intermittently, and a board-level repair or a single shelf board is a smaller commitment than a control swap that may not cure the fault. Send the symptom pattern — when it fails, what the screen shows, what has already been swapped — and the answer can sequence the checks instead of repeating them.
